Yesterday i finished my last test final. I messed up on a question that he said it is worth a lot of points. Damn, he said i might get an A-. I was literally begging him to give me an A. Fuck all those CUNY professors. They cant do shit right. In my other class, last Tuesday he decided to give a fucking project that he made up on top of this fucking head. He said it is due at the end of the class. Even though we work in a group of 5, none of my teammate know anything about creating a database. I took lead and directed the whole project. At the end of class, that fucker decided to postpone it to Thursday (2 days from Tuesday) and we will have a presentation in PowerPoint. So i splited the work and it was just completed 5 mins before Thursday's class started. When we arrive on Thursday, that fucker asked us if we want a final today - open book, or on Tuesday (as planned) - no open book. Seriously, what kind of fucker he is. If it is open book, he should of told us to bring our books. Luckily i learn from my mistakes since this is not the first time that fucker said open book out of the blue. Most people didnt have their book, since he said we were going to present. So, there you have it, thats my point: CUNY Professors Suck ASS.

I'm not sure if the Networking professor is going to give it to me. I'm pretty sure most people messed up on that question on the test. I guess there nothing i can do now. Anyways one more final (project) - VB.NET. I wondering if i should study for the CCNA this winter session. If not, i'll just be working at Lehman and not be productive. Actually there are tons of things i want to learn but thats not how things work. I kept loosing focus on one thing and turning to something else when i'm bored. For example, i'm watching a trainning video on VBscript - WSH and then after a few clips, i read about a new worm on the internet. I get fully distracted and can't find the motivation to continue watching the trainning videos.

Finally!! Today will be my last day of finals. Sigh, i've been really busy with work and school. I feel i dont have time for anything, especially for certifications. I'm jealous when i see my fellow classmates working toward their CCNA cert, while i'm at Lehman wasting my time. I dont want to be reminded of this terrifying semester - working 40+ hrs at lehman and then managing 6 classes from Monday to Saturday, and worse of all, trying to pull another "4.0". Damn, i dont even know what i want to do yet. Should i be a Developer? Or maybe a Security analyst? Or maybe conform and work toward being a network engineer. What i really wanted at first was to go for my masters in forensics in computing, but it is a whole different field.

I feel confident with being a developer because i know exactly what i want to do if i'm choose to be a developer. I would be developing ASP.NET pages with VB or C# language. I also have experience in the field since i worked 4 month at HRA developing their intranet page. At HRA, i learned C# all on my own and i also worked on some AJAX enhancement. It was nice working there because i was trusted. I was trusted with the production SQL server 2005 database. The project manager let me edit the production database which is critical it i fucked up. On top of that, i was a Teacher assistant for 2 sessions at CUNY graduate center in ASP.NET using VB language. The session lasted for a week each but it was intensive. I also went to a training session for ASP.NET using C# hosted by HRA. There we learned how to develop e-commerce pages. Yeah, so if i choose to become a developer i would know exactly what i will be doing. Then again, I would have to be competing with computer science majors employees, which have more programming background with C, C++, and java. On the other hand, they dont have shit experience in Visual Studio, which i have plenty of. But as they pick up on the IDE, i would be knocked out.

For security, I have a lot of interest in it. I love reading articles on how hackers were able to penetrate security and how corporations are trying to prevent intrusions. This field is big, there are many titles for security and it is not narrow like developing. (at least for what i want and capable of doing). I work as a security analyst at Lehman. I cant really discuss what my job is like because it is confidential. LOL. I'm serious! Yea, so i dont really like it because i have to support end users. We have to basically tell end users that "No, you can not access this site because it poses a security risk" and stuff like that. We monitor both N-IDS (network based - Intrusion Detection Systems) and H-IDS (Host based - Intrusion Detection Systems). Working at Lehman is cool, because you'll get to work on state-of-the-art Technology. Yea, i love security, but not working to support end users. I can also work toward becoming a Security engineer. But i feel too much pressure. You'll be on call 24/7 and also, you'll be working with some "big" people in the firm. You basically need a lot of networking skills, programming skills, almost everything. Yeah, it requires the CISSP cert and that is not easy to get.

Ha, time for lunch so no time to discuss my other choices. Yeah, have to go to school on saturday to do my networking final. I havent even study. I would say, i only study for 1 final out of 6. Yep, and i took it yesterday. Aite peace out... i'm hungary.
